John Mangan, AIA

With more than 20 years of experience in the field, John Mangan is Co-Founder and President of Virtual Build.

He has worked extensively with both design firms and design/build construction companies throughout his career, and has developed numerous historic properties utilizing BIM in all phases of design and construction.

John is also founder of Mangan Group Architects, which has been serving clients in the Washington D.C. market and around the globe since 1995. Mangan’s firm has been recognized for architectural excellence by winning more than 15 industry design awards in recent years.

Mangan received his Bachelor of Architecture from Pennsylvania State University. He is a registered Architect in D.C., MD, VA, PA and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), NAIOP and DCBIA.

Stuart Plank

A veteran professional in building production, Stuart Plank serves as Co-Founder and CEO of Virtual Build. With more than 20 years of experience, his portfolio encompasses senior leadership and management roles at some of the most premiere homebuilding groups in the nation’s capital.

Plank is well-versed in all phases of site infrastructure development, land acquisition and profit/loss responsibility. Under his management, he delivered more than 350 properties per year and has successfully supervised the sales and marketing operations for a number of regional homebuilding companies, including the Stanley Martin Companies of Reston, VA, Greystone Homes, Housewright Co, Inc. and Rawley Homes.

Plank holds a degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech University. Outside of work, he serves as the High School Football Coach at Georgetown Prep in Bethesda, MD.
